Frequently Asked Questions
Are my PDFs uploaded to a server when merging?
No. All PDF merging happens entirely locally inside your browser. Your files never leave your device, ensuring complete privacy and security.
Is there a limit to how many PDFs I can merge?
There are no hard limits imposed by our tool. However, because processing happens in your browser, attempting to merge hundreds of very large PDFs at once may be limited by your device's available memory.
Can I reorder the PDFs before merging?
Yes. Once you add your PDFs, they will appear as thumbnails in the grid. You can click and drag these thumbnails to rearrange them into the exact order you want them merged.
Is the original PDF quality preserved?
Yes, the tool merges the files at the binary level using pdf-lib. There is no re-compression or quality loss applied to the pages during the merging process.
What happens if a PDF is password protected?
The tool currently requires unlocked PDFs. If a PDF is password protected, you will need to unlock it first (for example, using our PDF Password Protector tool) before merging.
